Dear students, families, and teachers,

First of all, I want to express how proud I am of both classes, 8th grade 4 and 2 for everything you have achieved through your dedication and hard work. I was very pleased by receiving your invitation, so I’m happy to be here today.

Although you are teenagers, you and your families were not afraid of embracing this new challenge of having classes both in Portuguese and English. This is a remarkable accomplishment, as only a few public schools in Portugal offer this unique opportunity you are having. So, you too should be proud of yourselves.

As for us, teachers and all the staff, we will continue to do our best to live up to your ambitions and help each of you achieve your goals. You can always count on us to help you go further and become upright, honest citizens who push through and don’t give up when faced with a challenge.

We want you to learn how to achieve the freedom and happiness you deserve.
